Association canadienne d'éducation de langue française

The Association canadienne d'éducation de langue française created a resource for individuals, teachers and community leaders to help them develop cultural, intercultural and transcultural skills. The booklet, part of the Association's Comprendre la construction identitaire series, was distributed at the 3rd National Week for Francophone Immigration in November 2015. The guide promotes the ideal of full cultural expression for all francophone identities living and working together in a diverse society, and contains helpful tips and practices for users.

The project is funded through {Re}conciliation, which promotes collaborative dialogues between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples in Canada. The initiative, the result of partnership between the Canada Council for the Arts, the J.W. In 2015, the Alliance Jeunesse-Famille de l'Alberta Society initiated the "Jeunesse dans les échanges scolaires interculturelles en Alberta" project for Alberta students at francophone schools (ages 12-17). Established by the province's four French school boards, the project twins students with families from other regions so they can broaden their understanding of the diverse cultures, histories and religions found in Alberta.
